We use your radio’s VAG serial: it starts with AUZ (Audi), VWZ (Volkswagen), SKZ (Škoda), or SEZ (SEAT). The full code is exactly 14 characters (prefix + 11 letters or digits, no spaces) and is used to generate the correct anti-theft PIN or to match a navigation update. The identifier on your head unit—not the model badge alone—determines eligibility.
You will find the serial on the radio chassis label, or on the SAFE screen when your unit supports that shortcut. For step-by-step reading instructions, open the FAQ tab on this page.
Start by entering your serial in the order form on this page.

How do I find my Audi radio serial number?
For radio codes you need the serial from the SAFE screen or chassis label. For MAP updates, add your VIN, MMI/MIB generation, and target map region. SAFE-locked head units show the serial via the 1+6 button trick where supported.
- 1
Use the SAFE screen shortcut
With the radio showing "SAFE", hold preset buttons "1" and "6" together for about 5 seconds. The screen will show the 14-character serial number. Write it down exactly as displayed.
- 2
Check the MMI system info
For MMI-equipped models (A4 B8+, A6 C6+, Q5, Q7), navigate to Setup → System info. The serial and software version may be listed there.
- 3
Read the radio label
If the radio is removed, the serial is on a sticker on the top or rear face of the unit. Audi part numbers typically start with 8P0, 8V0, 4F0, or similar.
- 4
Contact us with a photo
If the buttons method does not work (common on newer MMI touch units), send a photo of the lockout screen and any visible label. We will extract the serial for you.
Classic Chorus/Concert/Symphony radios use the 1+6 button trick. Newer MMI touch units may need a photo of the system info or label — we confirm before you order a MAP product.
