Škoda Radio Unlock Codes & OEM Navigation Maps
Unlock your Škoda factory radio when it shows SAFE or asks for a PIN after a battery change, or update built-in navigation with OEM map data where we stock a matching file. Delivery by email—no hardware shipped.
Compatible with Škoda Fabia, Kamiq, Karoq, Kodiaq, Octavia, Rapid, Roomster, Scala, Superb, Yeti, and other supported factory radios we confirm using your head-unit serial.
Full model list — Product Details tab, "Supported ŠkodaCar Models".
We use your radio’s VAG serial: it starts with SKZ (Škoda), VWZ (Volkswagen), AUZ (Audi), or SEZ (SEAT). The full code is exactly 14 characters (prefix + 11 letters or digits, no spaces) and is used to generate the correct anti-theft PIN or to match a navigation update. The identifier on your head unit—not the model badge alone—determines eligibility.
You will find the serial on the radio chassis label, or on the SAFE screen when your unit supports that shortcut. For step-by-step reading instructions, open the FAQ tab on this page.
Start by entering your serial in the order form on this page.

How do I find my Škoda radio serial number?
Škoda uses Swing, Bolero, Amundsen, Columbus, and MIB lines. For radio codes provide the serial. For MAP updates also send VIN, unit type, and map region so we can match an available product.
- 1
Use the SAFE screen trick
When the display shows "SAFE", hold buttons "1" and "6" for about 3–5 seconds. The 14-character serial number will appear on screen.
- 2
Check the radio sticker
Remove the radio with appropriate keys. The barcode sticker on top of the unit shows the serial and Škoda part number (e.g., 5J0 035 XXX).
- 3
Look in the owner's wallet
Some Škoda models include a radio code card in the document wallet. Check the glove box or the original purchase paperwork.
- 4
Send a photo
If the display or label is hard to read, send a clear photo and we will confirm the serial format and support status.
Swing and Bolero units respond to the 1+6 button method. Columbus navigation units may require a different approach — contact us if the screen does not respond.
